Bornholm Heirloom: A Nordic Legacy of Potency and Resilience

The Bornholm heirloom is the result of decades of careful cultivation, selection and stabilization in harshy environment of Denmark’s easternmost island. Bornholm’s climate presents unique challenges, including short growing seasons, cool temperatures, and high humidity.

Initial genetic sources were imported from all over the world in early 70’s, predominantly from India, Nepal and Morroco. These seeds were crossed and selected overtime by hippie and pot growers resulting in quite uniform plants carrying old flavours and forgotten aromas. This dedication has resulted in a unique heirloom strain that is perfectly adapted to its environment.

Origin and History: A Blend of Cultures

This heirloom strain typically grows to a height of up to 2.5 meters, exhibiting a semi-tall stature and excellent branching tendencies.
